If your child loves to write, or is always voicing their opinion, then this opportunity is for them! Applications for Junior Reporter opportunities between March-July of 2021 are currently open. There is no minimum or maximum age range, as there may be opportunities for all ages. On the application you will select your child's interests such as animals, cooking, crafts, reading, sports, etc. When an opportunity arises, Junior Reporters are contacted by the email provided on the form. Selections are made based on matching interests with the project, and at random. Please note that this is not a paid position, however your child/family may be given the opportunity to get access to activities or businesses in town for free, tickets to events, or gift cards! In exchange, you/your child will be expected to provide reviews consisting of 300-500 words and 1-2 pictures, on average. Some projects may be smaller, and some may be larger. Reviews can be written on their own or with parental help. Resources may also be given to help the Junior Reporter provide the best article possible.
If your child has been a Junior Reporter previously, they may apply again!
