The Athens and Oconee area is FULL of seasonal happenings from trunk-or-treating, pumpkin patches, and even some haunted happenings. This list also includes some well-known locations that are within 1-hour from Athens, GA that families can enjoy as a day trip.

👻 Watkinsville, GA Haunted History Tours
Meet at Oconee County Courthouse
23 N. Main Street Watkinsville, GA
$20-$25/person
Learn all about Watkinsville's haunted history through a guided tour along the town's downtown square. Group and private tour bookings available on the Visit Oconee webpage.
Tours begin at the end of August and run periodically through November 9th.
🧟 Zombie Farms Haunted Trail - Athens
568 Smithsonia Road Winterville, GA
$33-$35/ticket
This attraction offers more than the typical haunted house experience. Zombie Farms' Haunted Trail walk is 3/4 mile full of horrors, spooky scenery, and jump scares with a Hollywood style story theme.
Opening night is Saturday, October 5th and will run every weekend through the first week of November.
Please note this event is not best suited for small children.
