What is a Boo Basket?
It's simply a little Halloween treat that you leave on the doorstep of a neighbor, friend, or family member to surprise them!
There are no rules to how big or small it has to be, just an act of kindness to bring a smile to someone's face.
What do you do if you get BOO'D?!
- Enjoy your treats!
- Place the "We've Been BOO'D" sign on your window/door
- Make two treat bags, two copies of the flyer, and two copies of the window sign (printables coming soon to download and print!)
- BOO two more people! Be sneaky!
Here's how you can sign up to receive one:
To be eligible to receive a Boo Basket, you must be a subscriber to Macaroni Kid Athens and your home address must be in Athens-Clarke or Oconee County.
The first 25 submissions are guaranteed to receive a Boo Basket!
The other 75 BOO Baskets will be delivered to addresses chosen randomly from the remaining submissions. Entries will be accepted Oct 4th - Oct 9th.
75 addresses will be selected from entries using random.org on the evening of Saturday, October 9th.
Boo Baskets will be delivered between 4:00 - 7:00 PM on October 10th - 15th. Sign up below!

You can enter by posting about the BOO Basket you received or ones you've made.

*RULES: This contest will run from Monday, October 4th, 2021, through Saturday, October 9th, 2021 at 9:00PM. Winners will be selected from all eligible entries after October 9th, 2021. Winners will receive their prize via porch delivery during October 10th - October 15th. By entering, you agree to keep your bag and create and deliver a second gift to at least one local family (this does not need to be an elaborate gift, just something to spread some Halloween fun!). You MUST be a subscriber to Macaroni Kid Athens and 18 or older to enter. If you are not a subscriber and enter the contest, you will be automatically subscribed.
