If your family loves spending time at Sandy Creek Park and Sandy Creek Nature Center, summer is the perfect time to take advantage of the kid-friendly outdoor camp experiences they have to offer.
These programs are packed with nature-based play, water adventures, outdoor skill-building, and plenty of time exploring Lake Chapman and the wooded trails with friends. Campers spend their days swimming, canoeing, hiking, practicing archery, and discovering the natural world through hands-on, immersive experiences in the great outdoors.
Registration begins on Saturday, March 14 at 9:00am for Athens-Clarke County Residents. Non-residents may register beginning Monday, March 16 at 12:00pm. |

Ages 7–8: Sandy Creek Day Camps
- This nature-oriented day camp is perfect for younger adventurers who love being active outside. Each themed week brings new surprises and outdoor challenges.
- Each camp runs Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm with early/late care options available.
- Camp locations alternate between both Sandy Creek Park and Sandy Creek Nature Center.
- All campers must be 7 to 8 years old by camp start date.

- Designed especially for teens ready for a mix of adventure, service, and stewardship, this camp blends outdoor fun with opportunities for leadership, teamwork, and creative experiences.
- Each camp runs Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm.
- All camps will take place at Sandy Creek Park's Conference Room.
- All campers must be 13 to 15 years old by camp start date.
