Joy Village School is a non-profit organization seeking to educate and uplift the youth of Athens by celebrating Black culture and history. For the 2025 summer season, Joy Village is hosting a Juneteeth Camp, designed for grades Kingergarten through 8th, that will offer a week of play-based learning including Black History, art, and sports activities in a nurturing environment.
Joy Village emphasizes the importance of holistic learning by offering education that connects children to nature, and opportunities to actively engage in the community.
Learn more about what to expect from this summer's programming and access registration below.
- Camp will run from 9:00am to 3:00pm starting Monday, June 16th through Friday, June 20th.
- Tuition is $200/week and must be paid in-full by Friday, June 13th.
- Campers will need to bring a snack, packed lunch, and water bottle each day. Parents, please do not include any food items with peanuts.
- Closed-toed shoes should be worn along with comfortable clothes for active play.
