Summer Fun For Kids Under $10 in Athens, GA

Indoor + outdoor fun that's easy on your wallet.

By Jessica Sweeney, Publisher, Macaroni KID Athens June 23, 2025

Navigating the summer season can be tricky: balancing revolving schedules, unexpected weather changes, and enduring the sticky Georgia humidity. My guess is you don't always feel like staying in your backyard with the mosquitos when summer boredom sets in, but also don't want to empty your wallet every time you leave the house with the kids. I see you. I hear you. I am you. (Especially when it comes to the mosquitos).

Here are some of my favorite drop-in spots to visit around town that are kid-friendly, won't break the bank, and even offer a bit of shade.

Do you know of a local, budget-friendly spot for kids that I missed? Let me know!
