St. Patrick's Day is on the way -- time to break out the glue and glitter to make homemade slime! 🍀 Kids of all ages will enjoy making their squishy substance and can learn a thing or two about science as they play. Point out details as their ingredients come together: Does the mixture thicken? Does the texture change? What about the density? Then, have a stretching contest! How far can you stretch your slime??
Ingredients You'll Need:
- 4 oz. clear glue
- 1 tbsp. baking soda
- 1 tbsp. saline solution
- Green food coloring
- Gold glitter
Instructions:
1. Mix 4 oz. of clear glue with 4 oz. of water until well blended.
2. Add a few drops of green food coloring and sprinkle in some glitter (add as much as you like!) and mix thoroughly.
3. Add liquid starch last and mix until slime begins to form.
4. Knead and mix with your hands until the slime reaches the perfect consistency.
5. Store in a sealed bag or airtight container to play with later - enjoy!
