Where You Can Donate Blood to Help Victims of Hurricane Helene

By Jessica Sweeney, Publisher, Macaroni KID Athens October 3, 2024

In times of crisis, we often feel a deep desire to help, to do something—anything—that can ease the suffering of those affected. Right now, following the devastation of Hurricane Helene, there’s one essential thing money can’t buy: blood.

The number of those affected across the states of Florida, Tennessee, and the Carolinas continues to rise and blood supplies can dwindle quickly. Blood donations during times like these can help save lives and can provide crucial support. Consider becoming a donor at one of these Athens-local centers and mobile locations below. Your donation makes a difference.

If you know of a local/mobile blood drive that can be added to this list, please send it my way and I will be sure to get it added.
