Ingredients:
- 1 orange (sliced)
- 1 apple (sliced)
- 1/2 cup cranberries
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 1 tablespoon whole cloves
- 1 tablespoon nutmeg (whole or ground)
- 1 sprig of fresh pine or cedar
- 1 vanilla bean/Vanilla extract (optional)
- Water
Instructions:
- 🍊 Slice the orange and apple, and toss them into a pot.
- 🌲 Add the cranberries, cinnamon sticks, cloves, and allspice.
- 🌿 Throw in the fresh pine or cedar sprig.
- 🌰 For an extra touch of sweetness, add a split vanilla bean (or a few drops of vanilla extract).
- 💧 Fill the pot with water, covering all the ingredients.
- 🔥 Place the pot on the stove and bring the mixture to a simmer over low heat.
- 🕒 Allow the fragrance to fill your home. Add water as needed to keep it from drying out or from causing a hazard. Enjoy!
This recipe also works nicely in a Crockpot (An easy alternative if all of the burners on your stovetop are in use!). Place all of the listed ingredients above into a crockpot and set to low heat. Leave to simmer for several hours and add more water as needed.
