Thank you, My Walgreens in Athens!

By Lacie Dooley, Publisher of Athens Macaroni Kid April 8, 2020

I miss the days of being able to leisurely shop in my favorite store. I would browse the isles, get greeted by wonderful cashiers and team members, and not have to worry about anything. Some things have changed now because of COVID-19, but not everything. My Walgreens in Athens has given me a sense of normalcy with continued friendliness and stress free shopping.

I’m currently pregnant and taking all the extra precautions that I can to keep my family and I safe. I absolutely love being able to pick up medicines and select household essentials through the drive-thru. I also love the convivence of ordering my vitamins online and getting them shipped directly to my house for free! None of this would be possible though without the wonderful team members of My Walgreens in Athens

So today, my kids and I would like to say “Thank you”! Thank you for being open, having items in stock, and being available for questions. Thank you to the pharmacists who make it easy to pick up prescriptions (and who are always super friendly). Thank you to the cashiers and in store team members who help everyone who comes into the store take the best precautions possible (and for always keeping a positive attitude in any given situation). Thank you to the warehouse team members for making sure My Walgreens in Athens has the supplies they need. And thank you to everyone who is a part of Walgreens that makes it possible for us to pick up OTC medicine, prescriptions, paper products, health items, and more! Thank you continuing to do the job that you always do.

Here is a little video from Athens Macaroni Kid to you, My Walgreens in Athens, to say “Thank You”!
