Let the Georgia Renaissance Festival Begin! 


The 33rd Annual Georgia Renaissance Festival is located just minutes from Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson Airport on I-85 at the Fairburn/Peachtree City exit. 

Open Saturdays, Sundays and Memorial Day, 10:30am to 6pm, from April 14 – June 3, 2018.


Each weekend features something uniquely special to enhance the enjoyment of all who enter the gates of this 32-acre English Village stepping back in time to the 16th Century.

April 28th & 29th Time Warp Weekend, College Weekend, Pet Friendly Weekend

May 5th & 6th  MaytoberFest Weekend: This weekend sample a variety of German Beers and Bavarian Food while enjoying special guest musicians.

May 12th & 13th Highland Fling Weekend : The Village welcomes the Scottish and Irish this weekend. Bagpipes, drums and kilted dancers abound. Bring your clan! Sunday is Mother’s Day – The first 100 Moms thru the gate get a flower.

May 19th & 20th Pirates Weekend: Pirates of all ages are welcome to compete in the Costume Contests, or play Walk the Plank Trivia. It’s a weekend full of fun and mischief for Pirates of all ages! 

May 20th is ASL Celebration Day. American Sign Language interpreters will be on stage at select shows throughout the day. 

May 26th, 27th & 28th Memorial Weekend: The Festival is open Saturday, Sunday and Memorial Day Monday. Bring the Family out on this holiday weekend. All military get in free at the Gate with ID, plus up to 4 family members get in for just $8 each.

June 2nd & 3rd Romance Weekend, Renewal of Vows at 1:30pm Wedding Garden


What to expect:

The Front Gate Castle was built with a large balcony where the Queen perches high above the crowds welcoming over 200,000 people each year. Once inside the gates, patrons can feast like Royalty on giant smoked turkey legs, frothy ales and other fine fares from the pubs and eateries sprinkled around the Village.

There are many options for games and rides including the Corkscrew Slide, the Amazing Maze, Junior Test of Strength, Columbus Ships, Robin Hood Archery, Camel Rides, Knife Throw, Catapulting Frogs, and more!

The Village is home to over 150 arts and crafts merchants, demonstrating artisans providing one-of-a kind treasures from Renaissance clothing, hand-blown glass art, jewelry, pottery, paintings, weaving, leather-crafting, stained glass artistry and more. This Renaissance art fair is a shop ‘til you drop collectors dream.

Entertainment for all ages is abundant with over 150 shows each day performed on 10 stages. Everything from circus-style acrobatics, comedy and improv, music, dance and the main event, The Joust – It’s a full day of endless entertainment for all ages.

Equus Maximus - The Extreme Joust: You'll be on the edge of your seat as noble knights in shining armor battle and compete with lance and sword, crossbow and chariot! This epic show is filled with thrilling stunts, trick riding, and over twelve tons of equine fury! Premium Joust seating is available!

Barely Balanced Acrobatic Daredevils: They’re back, diving through fire, hurling machetes, and testing the limits of natural selection! Don’t miss seeing your favorite acrobats endanger their lives in this hilarious, award winning show. The day starts with their “Sharp Knives and Stupid Humans Extravaganza” and ends with the incredible “Fire Finale.” Come laugh, cheer, and become a part of the action!

London Broil: The London Broil Show strives to bring you the perfect juggling show. These three accomplished jugglers create an experience that is like hanging out with your best funny friends, but they are throwing knives, clubs, and fire at each other. Performing May 26th - June 3rd. 

Cu Dubh: The sounds of ancient thundering war drums and skirling bagpipes like you’ve never heard before. Cu Dubh presents tribal warrior music at its best. Be you Viking, Druid, Celt, Mongol or Moor, these ringing harmonies and pounding rhythms will bring forth the ancient spirits and set loose the wolf once again! Performing June 2nd & 3rd. 

The Vodca Family: The Vodca Family is an interactive stage and street performance group featuring energetic, explosive dance and drums. This family-friendly stage show includes many styles of dance – classical pointe ballet, belly dance, sword balancing and much more! Performing April 14th - 29th & May 12th and 13th. 

Hypnotist Rick Stratton: A certified hypnotherapist, stage hypnotist, and comedian, Rick Stratton has been traveling the United States for years making people laugh while performing his comedy hypnosis show. You’ll be filled with side-splitting laughter at the antics of the audience volunteers under his hypnotic spell.

Hey Nunnie, Nunnie: The unconventional Mother Redempta and the mischievous ukulele wielding Sister Philomena Claire take the stage in a dazzling display of comedic escapades. Cracking jokes, singing songs, and “counseling” audience members, these two larger than life characters cause peals of laughter to ring like convent bells.

Giving Tree Drums: Everyone will experience the magic and discover how much fun they can have as they make music with those around them. Giving Tree Drum Circle is a completely interactive, fun and truly an inclusive activity for people of all backgrounds. Don't miss the Drum Circle at the Front Gate beginning at 5:45pm!

The Greatest Pirate Story Never Told: A crew of bumbling pirates have just one chance to get their hands on a famous treasure – and they must perform the most epic Pirate Story ever seen on stage. There's just one problem - half their script is missing! Help them fill in the blanks and laugh as they improvise a brand new musical adventure based on your suggestions! Performing May 19th - 28th. 

Gypsy Geoff Fire Circus: Children of all ages will be mesmerized by Geoff as he balances, juggles, and creates feats of wonder - and did we mention fire?! Geoff is an accomplished magician, clown, mime, juggler, and fire manipulator and we promise you will leave his show with a smile on your face!

Explorers of the 16th Century: The 16th century was the Age of Exploration – and Conquest – of the “New World”. This interactive presentation examines the material culture of the European explorers – especially the De Soto Expedition of 1540 which passed close to the area of the Georgia Renaissance Festival grounds.

Parrots of the Caribbean: Colorful and chatty parrots are the stars of this free-flight aviary! Get up close and personal with these beautiful exotic birds. It's a tropical adventure!

Splatter Time Players Mud Show: Earth-splattering fun awaits you at this fun-filled “earthy” presentation! Watch as this crazy duo execute back flips and belly flops straight into the mud! This “dirty” show will prove to be good, clean fun for audiences of all ages!

The Knotty Nauticals: Join Pirate Shantyman and Bonnie Lass in a non-stop fun and interactive comedy show! Filled with amazing stunts featuring fire eating, rope walking, juggling, fire spinning and manipulation, comedy and even music, their show delights all ages! Performing May 5th - 20th. 

The Green Man: Don't be frightened when the tree next to you moves – it's just the Green Man! This twelve-foot tall living, talking tree has the face of the mythical Green Man and will enthrall and delight your entire family.

Birds of Prey: In addition to a presenting a majestic Falconry exhibition, this complete bird show includes hawks, eagles, owls and vultures. You’ll be astounded as these spectacular birds exhibit their free-flight skills directly over the heads of the audience! Presented by Earthquest™.

Mother and Father Goose: Stop by the Goose Gazebo and have a visit with Mother and Father Goose and their "children" – gentle, tame geese who love to snuggle on your lap for a photo!
