A few years ago I attended the wedding of a friend. One thing that stood out was the party favors: small balls of decorated cake on a stick. I thought that was the cutest idea ever! Now Cake Pops have become very popular, not just for special occassions like weddings and birthday parties. The average person makes them at home just for fun. You can even purchase a Cake Pop maker for a very inexpensive price at your local department store.
Last month I had the pleasure of meeting a very talented young lady named Kisha Taylor, who is an owner of a local business called Cake Poppin'. She specializes in Cakes and Confections, such as Cake Pops, Mini Cupcakes, Cake Bites, Chocolate Covered Strawberries, Cake Jars , Dessert Shots and more Delicious bite size treats. I had the opportunity to sample a few of her Cake Pop flavors: Chocolate Birthday cake, Vanilla Birthday cake, and Chocolate Chocolate.
Let me just say that as soon as she gave me the box I was impressed! The packaging was very professional and wrapped like a present. I could not wait to take them home for my family to try them. All I can say is that those cake pops were great! Such a sweet treat that was not too little and not too much. The bite size portions are great because you can try multiple flavors at once and not eat too much cake. Kisha has only been in business for a little over 6 months but you could not tell that by how delicious her treats are!
I took a look at her website to view the other flavors she offers. Her website is laid out very professionally and easy to navigate. What also got my attention was the alcohol infused desserts such as Moscato, Hennessey, Patron, and Ciroc (I know that this is a family newsletter, but hey, parents need to unwind sometimes too *wink wink*. I am excited to try some more of her creations in the future, and book her to supply these tasty treats for my next event!
